INEOS Upstream, the shale gas company interested in undertaking fracking in central Scotland, is holding a public relations session in Bishopbriggs tomorrow (Monday 27th April). Local residents who would like to hear more about their proposed plans, ask questions and express a view on whether fracking is wanted in our communities may want to attend this meeting.
INEOS has launched a major new shale gas information programme aimed at giving the Scottish public the facts about INEOS and shale gas extraction.
This programme will address both the benefits and the issues of shale gas extraction, as well as make the Company and its team available to answer questions about its plans for shale gas production in Scotland.
The meetings will be attended by a number of INEOS Upstream staff and led by Tom Pickering, Operations Director at INEOS Upstream.
The Company will give a presentation introducing INEOS Upstream, the licences they hold, how INEOS Upstream intends to undertake its shale gas actiivities, as well as explaining its promise to give 6% of shale gas revenues to the local community. The meetings will conclude with a Q&A session. Also, during each meeting, a number of films will be screened which explain some of the key issues surrounding shale gas extraction.
Due to limited space at this venue please ensure you register for a ticket. Should we reach capacity and there appears to be significant interest we will endeavour to organise another event to meet the demand
